We are thrilled to announce the grand opening of our new bookstore, and we’re kicking things off with an exciting day packed with family-friendly events! A Day Full of Fun and Entertainment
Our grand opening will begin bright and early at 10:30 AM with a special storytime session featuring local children’s author Heather Crooker. This engaging event will transport young readers into the worlds of her beloved stories, sparking imaginations and fostering a love for reading. Bring the whole family along to enjoy the magic of storytelling!
Following the storytime, we’re excited to host a book signing with Janith Hooper, another talented local author. Meet Janith, ask questions, and get your favorite books signed during this interactive and inspiring session.

Official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
The day’s highlight will be the official ribbon cutting ceremony at 1:00 PM, presented by the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce. This momentous occasion will mark the beginning of our journey as part of this wonderful community, and we invite everyone to join us as we officially open our doors.
More Author Signings
After the ribbon cutting, the excitement continues with two more book signings! At 1:30 PM, Brittney Boone, a local author known for her captivating writing, will be available to meet fans and sign books. Right after that, at 2:00 PM, Kim Van Meter, a journalist and author, will also be on hand for a book signing session.
Raffles and Giveaways
To wrap up this jam-packed day of fun, we’ll be announcing raffle winners and exciting giveaways at 3:30 PM. Don’t miss your chance to win some amazing prizes, including exclusive bookstore merchandise and books from our featured authors.
